“Because sometimes, the best reason to travel… is what’s on the plate.”

If I had to explain who I am in one sentence, it would probably be this:
I’m someone who’s been chasing good food and good stories all my life. That’s exactly why I started this blog India — to share my love for the delicious and diverse flavors of India that I’ve encountered while traveling.
Growing up in Madhya Pradesh, food was never just food. It was waking up to the smell of fresh poha topped with crunchy sev, grabbing hot jalebis on Sunday mornings, and sneaking crispy samosas and kachoris with friends after school.
Naturally, my love for food led me to IHM Pusa, New Delhi — India’s most prestigious institute for Hospitality and Hotel Management.
There, amidst kitchen drills and food theory classes, I learned something profound:
🍛 Food isn’t just about taste. It’s about stories, traditions, and emotions shared across generations.
Although I didn’t pursue a career in hospitality, my time in college had a lasting impact on me. Intense, thrilling, and honestly, some of the best years of my life.
We weren’t just memorizing recipes — we were experiencing flavors from across the country and beyond.
At the time, I thought I’d spend my whole life in kitchens or hotels.
But, well, life had other plans.
From Hotels to High-Rises: How I Kept Chasing the Flavors of India🏙️
After graduation, I found myself entering the corporate world — not exactly what I envisioned while burning my fingers in the training kitchen.
But oddly enough, it worked.
Though I no longer wear a chef’s apron daily, my passion for food and travel has only grown stronger.
So now, between back-to-back meetings and tight deadlines, I make time to book tickets, chase sunsets, and most importantly, chase flavors.
Mapping the Flavors of India: My Journey from MP and Beyond 🍛
Growing up with the best poha-jalebi breakfasts and the spiciest kachoris in narrow lanes, I built a kind of map in my heart. Not a map of roads or landmarks — but one made entirely of flavors.
Now, every new place I visit adds a new spot on that map.
That’s how this began:
🥙 In Lucknow, sinking into a plate of Galouti kebabs so tender they melt in your mouth.
🥟 In Jodhpur, cooling off with a spicy pyaaz kachori from a roadside vendor.
🍲 In Pune, tracking down the perfect misal pav in the middle of a busy street.
🍛 In Himachal Pradesh, sitting cross-legged during a traditional feast where each dish has a story to tell.
☕ In Indore, laughing with strangers over tiny glasses of chai, where food feels like a festival every day.
Each place, each meal — it just reminds me:
Home isn’t always a place. Sometimes, it’s the taste of something familiar, even miles away.

Why I Started Chasing Flavors of India 🍴
In Madhya Pradesh, my Sunday mornings always began with poha-jalebi, or grabbing a spicy kachori after school.
It wasn’t just about the food — it was about those little moments that helped shape my love for Indian flavors.
Now, with each new journey, I continue adding pins to my flavor map:
🍢 In Lucknow, sinking into Galouti kebabs so tender they practically melt.
🥧 In Jodhpur, grabbing a pyaaz kachori from a vendor as the heat waves rise from the street.
🔥 In Pune, finding the perfect misal pav tucked in a noisy alley.
🍚 In Himachal Pradesh, enjoying a simple, hearty meal while seated on the floor of a traditional feast.
☕ In Indore, sipping endless tiny cups of chai, surrounded by a city that seems to celebrate food every single day.
Each plate tells its own story.
And every bite brings me closer to understanding mine.
Still Hungry? Always. 😋
There’s still so much left to taste.
🥣 Maybe a warm bowl of thukpa in a chilly Sikkim town.
🍛 Maybe hot, fluffy idlis fresh from a Tamil Nadu village’s steamer.
🔥 Maybe homemade litti-chokha from a farmer’s home in Bihar.
I don’t know where the next trip will take me — but I do know one thing: I’ll always be chasing flavors of India.
Because food isn’t just a part of my story.
Food is my story.
